Candidates for official Orange Feeling drink 2010

How does The Orange Feeling taste? We need your help to decide that. You can win a ticket to Roskilde Festival 2010 as well as drink coupons.

We have asked three festival bars to mix their version of an Orange Feeling drink. There is only one requirement: the drink must be orange.

We have invited a tasting jury with the best experts out there i.e. Roskilde-goers who judge the three drink candidates and rate them on a scale from 1 to 10 canopies.

Based on this film we ask you to choose which drink you think deserves to win the honourable title of official Orange Feeling drink 2010.

We draw lots among all votes for a ticket to Roskilde Festival 2010 as well as 10 drink coupons for the winning drink.

We need your vote by Sunday 20 June at the latest. You can only vote once.

Celebration of 40th Roskilde Festival

Roskilde Festival does not want lengthy retrospectives or aged guest appearances for the celebration of its 40th festival anniversary.

Instead, the Danish vinyl lovers in Den Sorte Skole will do a concert consisting entirely of music clips with artists who have performed at Roskilde Festival through the past 40 years.

Green Footsteps at Hopenhagen Live

This week Roskilde Festival's climate campaign Green Footsteps joined Hopenhagen Live in Rådhuspladsen. The campaign has been a succes. During Roskilde Festival 2009 46,000 "Green Footsteps" were taken by the festival guests and more than 17,000 people signed a petition saying that Denmark and other rich countries should help third world countries handling the climate changes. Also refund worth more than 1 million Danish kroner was donated to climate work in Bengal.

Roskilde Festival donates DKK 250,000 to the alternative climate summit Klimaforum09 which takes place at the centre of Copenhagen on 7-18 December 2009. Saturday the 12th of December the people from the well-known Roskilde Festival camp - Orange Camp - invited everyone to join a C02 neutral party at Klimaforum09.

Roskilde donates DKK 500,000 to Hopenhagen LIVE

Green Footsteps On Tour

The last two weekends of May, Roskilde Festival starts a climate tour. Green Footsteps On Tour gives you the opportunity of partying the sustainable way and a unique chance of securing a spot at the camping area. May 23rd Green Footsteps On Tour was at Enghave Plads in Copenhagen. In five chosen cities, a townhall will be set up where you can test new sustainable technologies, visit our climate university and take part in lots of fun happenings and activities.

Roskilde donates 1 million to hip hop centre in Gaza

The Roskilde Festival Charity Society supports young people in one of the worlds hot spots. In March 2009 a donation of one million Danish kroner (approx. 135,000) was given to the Danish Centre for Culture and Development (DCCD) an institution whose purpose is to incorporate culture in the Danish development aid. The hip hop centre will form the frame of a training course in the disciplines of hip hop concerts, events etc. and generally strengthen the youth culture in Gaza in a peaceful manner.
